Senka Perfect Water Cleansing Makeup Remover Review

We all know and love the Senka Perfect Whip Cleanser? This is a relatively newer product from them, and their foray into the 'micellar' style cleansing water! They say that it is a gentle-on-skin makeup cleansing water made from Japanese Cocoon Micellar Technology (whatever that is) to dissolve makeup, excess sebum and impurities from the skin naturally.

It comes in a 300ml bottle with a pump dispenser; it usually takes about 1-2 pumps to cover a cotton pad piece, and takes me about 2-3 soaked cotton pieces to remove my make up each time. Pricing is also on the lower side, and comparable to the drugstore micellar waters (like Garnier Micellar Water).

I've been using this on and off for the past month and I have to say — it's really not made for heavy duty makeup. With my heavier, waterproof eyeliners and mascara, it does not remove it well at all. How I've been using it, however, is to remove lighter makeup or as a finisher 'cleansing wipe' to ensure there is zero residues left.

With all being said, I do think it is a really nice, gentle cleanser with great moisturising properties. The brand touts it to have Natural Silk Essence Complex and Double Hyaluronic Acids to help moisturise the skin after, and I like that I don't have to rinse it off.

I don't think I'll repurchase this product just because it does not have a place in my beauty routine per say, but I recommend it for girls who wear lighter makeup and are looking for a gentle, affordable formula for everyday use!

Luna Multiful Sun Stick - Stick Sunscreen Review

Luna Multiful Sun Stick - Stick Sunscreen Review

I'm always on the lookout for fun beauty products that can add to my beauty regime! So this time, I'm sharing with you all my thoughts for the Luna Multiful Sun Stick — a stick sunscreen that touts itself as not just a sunscreen, but also a primer and make up base!

I've been exercising a lot more recently before work, so having multi-purpose, easy to use, good products that I can easily pop into my gym bag has been an important consideration point as of late. So when I chanced upon this product, I couldn't wait to try it and see if it was as good as they made it sound. And alas...

Luna Multiful Sun Stick

I love it!
It has slight correcting effect (aka Korean-speak for brightening the skin tone while giving a bit of coverage) without being sticky. I have found zero problems using it under my powder makeup. I'm not 100% sure if that's what it's meant to be, but it does remind me a little of a stick version of a CC-cream; with tone-up for the skin and slight coverage for blemishes.

The best thing about the product is it's compact, easy to use packaging. Unlike gooey gels or liquids, I can easily top this on my skin throughout the day to ensure that my skin is protected the whole time (did you know that you are supposed to top up your sun screen once every 3-4 hours!?).

A win for me.

3CE Mood Recipe Multi Eye Colour Palette in #OVERTAKE — Review

Today I'll be doing a review of a palette that I've been lusting over for quite a while (finally bit the gun and bought it!) — the 3CE Mood Recipe Multi Eye Colour Palette!

I don't own a lot of produces from 3CE, or the beauty line of Stylenanda, but they're definitely known for trendy products in sleek packaging. The colour that I decided to go for is #OVERTAKE — it just feels like the perfect all-in-1 sort of colours with brownish/reddish neutrals and a good mix of finishes.

Packaging did strike me as oh-so-pretty with the millennial pink! Whilst I do think that the clear cover means easier view of the colours, it did feel overall a little plasticky and flimsy. The packaging is nothing much to shout about.

The eyeshadow palette itself is made up of 3 mattes, 2 satins, 2 shimmers and 1 glitter, with a good range of lighter browns to darker bronzes. I felt that the colours itself made for a great basic range — everyday casual matte browns, to smokier, glittery eye looks.

But overall... I was a little disappointed. While I wasn't expecting the buttery pigmented quality of your American eyeshadow palettes (like Anastasia or UD), it didn't feel like it matched up to the USD$38 price tag (I did think it's pretty steep for what it is). I'm still keeping this palette though, because I am absolutely in love with the matte, deep reddish brown (8) topped off with the glittery gold (7).

Honest thoughts? For the price, you'd probably do better with another.

Clio Micro Fine Oil Control Fix Mist Review

Micro Fine Oil Control Fix Mist Nozzle Spray

I am back! It's been a while since I did up a post and I thought I'll come back with a review of one of my favourite product finds recently... It's been a crazy whirlwind for my personal life nowadays, with my upcoming marriage planning and transitioning into a new job role. However, now that all is more settled, I have all intentions to get back into blogging more, perhaps with a stronger beauty slant so stay tuned!

Anyway, this is a product I found by chance in the drugstore — the Clio Oil Micro Fine Oil Control Fix Mist. For everyone who knows me, my face alone is worth the invasion of most countries (unlimited production of natural oils and all). Doesn't help that I am living in such a humid area as well. Any and all products that tout oil control will usually turn my head!

This product is not so much a 'fixing spray' unlike what you might think — it's a spray that 'fixes' your makeup. In other words, use it instead of a powder compact or blotting sheets! Sure, you might use it as a setting spray (like the UD Setting Sprays) but definitely, it is revolutionary as a replacement for regular blotting powders.

So instead of caking on layers upon layers of powder, just spritz your face with a cooling spray (after giving the bottle a good shake to mix the residue and liquid), and see your face mattify significantly!

I should frankly mention though — the spray nozzle is absolutely horrendous. It does more of a sad, ugly spit, rather than the elegant fine spray you might expect. But, eh, I can deal with that.

So as I was saying, it's a great fixing spray! I find myself reaching for a couple ugly spits on the face mid day when I get the oiliest, and it mattifies my face really well. I found that using it after my makeup in the morning helps a little in keeping the oil away a little longer.

Highly, highly recommend!

Repurchase: Yes!
Rating: 8/10 (terrible nozzle, and not easy to purchase outside of Korea)
